The Nagata Cycle Rotary engine

I have been reserving pride of place for Japan on this site since its inception , unfortunately until recently I have had difficulty in locating a Japanese designed engine concept . Yet my research into this subject has shown that it is the Japanese who have been the true innovators and motivators without whose efforts car engine & design would be decades behind. They have been willing to invest staggering amounts of time and man hours into innovative projects , possibly more than that put in by any other country . For instance it was a Japanese company , Mazda , who bought the Wankel design from its parent company and tried to improve on the concept , even though in the end this was not a commercial success. Without Japanese initiative the concept of a Hybrid car would have never left the ground . They have been one of the leading forces into the research on fuel cells and have practically changed the whole concept of the IC engine , introducing Direct fuel injection for the petrol engine , commercialising and putting into production such concepts as Multiple valves and Multi port fuel injection far before any Western or other manufacturers attempted their introduction to mass production. Here is one engine design by Japanese designer Sumiyuki Nagata and Ryan Cobb the “Nagata Cycle Rotary Engine” , which has been scrupulously researched . Also provided are links to those path breaking hybrid designs “The Honda Insight “ and the “Toyota Prius “ The Nagata Cycle Rotary Engine. This engine has few moving parts and is compact . It uses new principles for providing of motivating power.
