It is something that many engineers have contemplated doing for many years namely linking a rotary compressor , which is reputedly said to be one of the most efficient types of compressor designs available , to a rotary turbine. This site deserves to be looked into and contains animations and statistical data , a working prototype model has been built and the designer is now looking for funding to go into production. UPDATE : I have just received news from Umit Taskin the inventor of this engine that extensive testing has been carried out on this engine , including fitting it in planes. The results in Umit's own words surprised even himself. The engine has performed beyond expectations.
